Racquet size by age
Racquet size for a 10-year-old
The green ball year for many kids: full 78 ft court with a slightly slower ball. USTA 10 & under events finish here.
At age 10
- Height decides between 25 and 26 inches at this age.
- Green ball is played on the full court, so footwork and depth matter more.
- Under ITF rules, competition for 10 & under is played with red, orange or green balls.
Note: Tall 10-year-olds (56 in and up) often fit a 26 inch.
What changes at 11
At 11 the Wilson chart moves to a 26 inch racquet, and many kids move to yellow ball.
