Racquet size by age
Racquet size for a 11-year-old
Yellow ball. Several USTA sections move juniors to yellow ball around 11, and 12 & under tournaments use it.
At age 11
- A 26 inch is the usual junior size from 11.
- If the 26 inch already looks short (59 in tall or more), check the 27 inch row on the calculator.
- Ask the coach before moving to a 27: strength and swing matter as much as height.
What changes at 12
At 12 most kids are on a 26 inch; at about 59 in (150 cm) and strong enough, a 27 inch adult frame.
