Good UTR by age

A good UTR depends on age: a rating that is top level at 10 is ordinary at 18. Pick an age for boys and girls benchmarks, sources and the college picture.

Approximate. UTR Sports has no official table of UTR by age. These are the Voyager Tennis tracking model values, copied as published and checked 2026-10-16. Ages follow Australian school years in the source.

Questions parents ask

What is a good UTR for a 14 year old?

In the Voyager Tennis tracking model, a 14-year-old boy at UTR 7+ is on a college track and 10.25+ is top national level. For girls the same marks are 4.5+ and 8.75+. These are approximate.

Is there an official UTR by age chart?

No. UTR Sports rates every player on one scale from 1.00 to 16.50, whatever their age or gender. The age benchmarks here come from a coaching academy and recruiting sites, and each page names its source.

Why are the girls numbers lower?

UTR is one scale for everyone, and at the same age girls and boys reach different ratings at each level. The same is true in college: our division pages show lower typical ranges for women than for men.
